Tican Rodeo & Horse Parade

So we're in Quepos, Costa Rica, doing our usual Hook the Future deal, when my friend Jerry from Luna Tours says, "You guys have to come to the Rodeo in Paquita tonight as my guests, we have a big VIP section... trust me it will be an experience you won't soon forget!" How could we pass up an invitation like that!

So we head back to the Best Western Kamuk to find the streets shut down for the parade of horses....

Dancing horses!

Pretty cool when you're watching a parade of Horses in Costa Rica and run into a Hook the Future star from our first season riding by!

Jerry was right... what an experience! At the rodeos in Costa, the entertainment begins after the rider is thrown, when the spectators are allowed to jump in the ring and taunt the bull.... Wow!
Add in the best food and the best seats in the house thanks to Luna Tours.... what a night!
Thanks, Jerry! You were right... what an experience!

My neighbor Dylan fishes off his dock every single day.  Sometimes I even see him out there before school trying to catch a fish. Every single time I come in from fishing he runs out to ask what I caught, and then he asks to see it.  I gave him my underwater lights that were at my dock to put in front of his dock so he could hopefully start catching some Snook or Tarpon.  He finally caught a nice Snook after having the lights for several weeks.  This week it was his Spring Break from school and I've been seeing him fishing off his dock all week by himself.  So two days ago I was headed out to catch some bait and as I was loading the boat he told me he caught me a mullet to bring out for bait, so when I pulled my boat up to his dock, I asked do you think your mom will let you go with me? He ran inside and was back out and ready to go in 30 seconds.  I made him go grab a Jacket and a hat and we headed out.  He got to catch a big Sail Fish, a Dolphin, and a mutton snapper.  I have never seen someone so excited to be out there in my life.  Im happy I took him out fishing and made his spring break.
